The housewife life has been pretty uneventful over the past however long I haven't posted. I have bursts of energy and motivation that makes the house spotless followed by bouts of no energy which, luckily, falls over the time when the house is already clean. I am back into making dinner every night - sometimes high maintenance meals, sometimes burgers. But this is a huge improvement over the first three months I was pregnant!
I am working on finding something to do with my never resting mind! Since I have worked for the majority of my life, it is hard to just not work. Granted, house work is hard work and I know that I will certainly have my hands full come end of December. But, right now, I am really in desperate need to find something to occupy and challenge my mind. I certainly miss the meeting planning industry and am starting to dabble in some online networking with other planners. But I also enjoy writing. Therefore, I am researching and looking into freelance writing/blogging gigs. I am not quite sure what I can offer but I do think I can offer entertainment at the very least. Or maybe I am giving myself too much credit. Don't answer that...
In other news, I received permission to post pics of my new niece, Londyn. She will be two weeks tomorrow. Here are some pics from the hospital as well as Tatum and Londyn this past Saturday...
The new family

Londyn - exorcist style...look at the flexibility in that neck!

Happy new cousin

Last Monday was Tatum's first day of school. We met her and her Mom's whole fam damily at the school to send her off. Other than the frosty stares (mostly at me and my growing belly), everything went really well. Tatum had a look of concern all over her face that morning and was definitely overwhelmed with all the people, all of her family and just the whole concept. But she gave us a big hug before her class started and the last I saw was a big smile on her face. T talked with her later in the day. She said she had a GREAT time, made three new friends and was super excited that there were sugar cookies waiting for them after they had recess. I think she is going to really love school!
I have how many more years of this?

Really? That many??

There's a smile

Daddy can get a smile!

This is the look I got before getting a BIG hug!!

And lastly, here is a pic of a father/daughter project T and Tay worked on last weekend together. It is a crane made out of Leggo's. It was a long project but Tay worked through it! Now it is a favorite toy (among the cats as well).

This summer has been VERY hot and dry in the desert. If you believe in hell, here it is. If you aren't getting 3rd degree burns on your seat belt buckle, your flip flops are melting to the pavement as you walk. Today has been the first overcast day in weeks and it actually feels...less like a closed grill at high temperature and more like a kitchen oven at 375. We are hearing a faint rumor on the local news that we might get some rain over the next three days. I don't really believe them. I will have to see it first. But I will say it will be a welcome change from the sun! I swear I feel like we live on Mercury here. The sun even seems bigger out here than anywhere else in the world. What the hell? Exactly.
21 week post/update on Appleseed blog. See you there!

Yay! An update! Taytum is such a cutie!! I love her little smile :D I think her backpack weighs more than she does! What's in that thing?!? haha I'm glad you're looking into possibly doing something in your spare (if that's what you can call it) time. I know how hard it is sometimes for you to not be working. I'm looking forward to seeing you next week and don't worry I won't rub your belly ;) I do want to check out the baby's room so far though :)
P.S. What's going on with your garden? Are the veggies surviving this God awful heat??
