I was thinking that I would have a sequel to my truths but that won't be happening tonight. For several reasons. One, I am so tired (after working on a ton of Wells Fargo event planning and being up since 4 am) my brain wouldn't be able to muster up some good truths right now even though I have a ton stored in a folder up there. Two, I must tell you about a huge revelation I had today and how excited I am with my new family find!
I was looking for a place to take mommy and me swimming lessons. After a simple google search, I found several places that offered what I was looking for - one being the Y. What the??? Why hadn't I thought about this before? The Y is so family oriented - of course much more so than LA Fitness! I decided to go check it out today to see what the one closest to us was like.
I loved it folks! I walked in and instantly visualized H growing up in that environment. Meeting other kids, swimming in the KICK A$$ pool (with a slide and huge water fountains to stand under - and this is the "kids" pool - there is also an adult pool), going to camp (of course these things will happen later in her life), etc. The kid care is a very nice area with a lot of options for infants. Two workout rooms, tons of classes offered, swimming lessons, a HUGE cardio and weight area, and even a family locker room. It was clean, huge, beautiful with families swarming everywhere! What a great place to bring up our family! I am so excited!
I think I am going to talk to LA Fitness tomorrow and say my final farewells. I am ready to sign up with the Y (they have a special where they will wave the $50 annual reg fee if you register before June 30). It is only $62/month which includes T and I both, as many dependents as we want and child care. They have family swim every night which is theme oriented, snacks and fun. They have a HUGE family theme night every Friday. It is just awesome and made me feel like it was perfect for our family!! I am super excited! Maybe I will meet some new mommies in the process!
That is my cool news as of now...I am super excited to have this outlet and can't wait to become a member! How fun and rewarding! Oh...and the pool! This may be a daily thing for us!
For now I am going to bolt. My eyes are incredibly heavy and even the forklift holding my lids is running out of steam. Time to call it a night and get ready for H's doc appointment tomorrow - just her 6 month well check.
Until next time...
