No real good gym stories other than the very pregnant girl that arrived while I was sweating it out on the elliptical (my knee is still too sore for running). At first I felt that knot in my stomach when I saw her but it turned to humor when I saw her try to adjust the stationary bike. Haha! Her stomach was so big that she couldn't get behind the handle bars of the bike and still touch the pedals. She looked very frustrated as she looked for a treadmill to walk on. I felt bad laughing but, honestly, it felt good too.
I got a lot more done today including making a pretty good size hole in our bedroom wall! I vacuumed (however you spell it) the whole house, hung pictures in Tay's bathroom as well as in our room. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try to hang a shelf over our TV in the bedroom. The purpose of the shelf is to hold a framed picture of me that my Dad and Twila gave me from my first day of school, a kid pic of Todd at probably the same age and then a pic of T and I together from the wedding in the center. Well, one screw to hang the shelf was able to go right into a stud. However the second screw needed its anchor. But, when I put the anchor in the wall, it came right back out and left a fairly good size hole! I am telling you right here and now. Houses in the west are made a lot different than in the east. I don't understand!
Anyway, after some creative adjusting, it is hanging up. Don't ask how or when it might come down...I don't know. But hopefully it will stay in place since there won't be a lot of weight on top of it! Haha!
I completely organized my two spice cabinets and my entire pantry including vacuuming (there's that word again) out the loose spices, getting rid of expired items and itemizing everything. It looks great! I will take pics tomorrow.
After that I coordinated my shopping list for tomorrow. I am going to come home after the gym, shower, then head out to shop. We have a Pottery Barn gift card so I may stop there first to see what they have. Then on to grocery shopping. I am planning on getting us fully stocked and ready for T being home! So excited to have him back!
So my plan is to marinate some pot roast Friday night to put in the crock pot on Saturday. The idea is that, if he is hungry when he gets home, he will have a hearty home cooked meal. If he isn't, no problem. I can refrigerate it for left overs and will still have the homey aroma of the crock pot in the house.
Sunday he has requested my lasagna. So I will be making the sauce on Saturday so that it can sit and, as Emeril says, get happy overnight. Then I will make the lasagna on Sunday. I am also planning on making his favorite cookies, having a bottle of Bailey's readily available and the coffee pot clean!
I guess that's it for now...moving on to some couch potato stew!!
