A debate, a legal substance and a lot of nothing!

I am so proud of myself for sharing my feelings and beliefs. And it obviously struck up conversation among my fans. That is exciting and self fulfilling. I still believe as I do and can only say that I AM open minded. Probably more so than Christians or any other self proclaimed God worshipers. I have looked at the "facts" and the "nonfacts" pertaining to god and religion. I have also opened my mind to other options and other facts that have guided me to where I am now. I am open minded to gay marriages, legalization of marajuana (not because I smoke it...I don't...but because it makes no sense to me that it isn't but alcohol and tobacco is), pre-marital sex, birth control and so much more. So I do feel like I am open minded. And I would be very open minded to some factual evidence of a god, a heaven, etc. Factual evidence I am very open to. I would very much like the opportunity to wrap up in the comfort blanket.

As for ghosts...how can I watch Ghosthunters and "believe" in ghosts when I don't believe in afterlife? Well, I watch Ghosthunters because I am intrigued by ghosts and the possibility that they exist. I do believe that there is another energy field on a separate plane as the one we exist in but, other than that, I need to do more research. And I will. Stay tuned to future blog entries for more debatable content.

On a lighter note...or a more mellow note...we discovered today that we have a legal "substance" growing in our backyard. Salvia. We were looking online to find other colors of Salvia that we could plant in place of our deceased Bird of Paradise (that bird flew the coup). When we looked it up, we found information regarding smoking it, chewing it and otherwise ingesting the leaves to experience a calming, "meditative" feeling. Supposedly it can also make you feel like you are another object, could cause hallucination and so much more fun. And we have it in our backyard - aplenty! Check this out to see what I mean:

How cool are we? Funny that we were thinking about getting another. Maybe I will snip a leaf for your next glass of tea at the Spencer's and then we can discuss religion! Haha!

Now let's talk about a bunch of crap that won't cause conflict. My hummingbird has returned. He (it looks like a male because of the beautiful bright red patch on it's neck) seems to enjoy the salvia (who doesn't) more than my feeder but I did notice him dipping in the feeder a couple of times. I think there is a female in the morning too. I will have to keep an eye on them to give you updates. I am really excited to have them back.

I had lunch with Lauren today and I feel like we are back on track. It has been a long crazy road but it was awesome spending time with her and getting back to the way we were. I want to be involved in what is going on with her, Ryan and their baby. I want to be back in the circle and I feel that we accomplished that today as well as clearing the air and discussing my drama leading to now. I am just ready to live from here on out.

Other than that, no big news. I took some pics around the house to show those of you who haven't been here in a while what things look like. I will post them soon. Stay tuned! Oh, and I transplanted my wilting tomato plants. They looked almost dead and flat to the soil. I read that their roots can grow long quick. I transferred them to starfoam cups and they are actually coming back. My bells and jalapeno peppers are booming. I will take pics tomorrow and post them. I may transfer them to cups just to be sure they don't suffocate each other. And today I received my garlic and shallots. Hey, you know when you buy fresh garlic and shallots in the grocery store? Ok, that's what Burpee's sent me!!! You just break apart the bulb and plant the individual cloves. Really? I could have bought those from Fry's when they went on sale!! Oh well. That's ok.

I'm pretty excited about my garden. T and I decided that we are going to put a wrought iron gate at the entrance that will block the path so that Jack doesn't have a grazing session (or poop on my veggies). We are planning on getting started soon so that it will be complete before the beginning of April. Pics will be posted as we go.

Hope this post keeps the blood pressure of my readers at a safe and healthy level. But, as I learn more on the subject, I intend on sharing and would love for those on the other side of the token to do the same. Either way, I love life, my family, my pets, all animals and nature. I do right as much as I possibly can and feel that I am a good person. Isn't that all that matters??
